One of the popular events that is organized in Gujarat and is a major crowd puller from across the country and the world is the Rann Utsav. This is regarded as a celebration of life, culture, and the festivities of Kutch. The entire event is spread across 4 months which sees a riot of colors spread over the barren lands. The entire event offers an experience of diverse traditions as well as the taste of generous hospitality of the people from Kutch. The beautiful White Desert welcomes one and all and the sight of a full moon night during the entire period can be breathtaking.

The 4 months sees endless cycle of dances backed by century-old traditions that have been there for centuries. The colorful fair spread across the beach area or the lake swings which are placed on the lake banks add to the marvelous experience for flamboyancy. It embarks an ideal occasion for being part of the region’s culture and experiences its uniqueness which is second to none in terms of celebration of life.

About Rann Utsav

Rann of Kutch festival also called as Kutch Festival or Just Rann Utsav, A Three month Long Celebration held at the edge of White Rann. In Gujarat Tourism there are eight hubs and one of the best hub is Kutch Tourism, as a part of Kutch Tourism, Gujarat Tourism Started to Celebrate Rann of Kutch Festival or Rann Utsav where tourist can stay near white Rann of Kutch with the option of Standard and Luxury Tents accommodation. Every year during winter for three month as a part of Gujarat Tourism and Kutch Tourism a Govt. of Gujarat decided to set up a Tent City Near white Rann. During Kutch Festival thousands of people gathers to witness Rann of Kutch festival or Kutch Rann utsav to see Kutch attractions or sightseeing places of Kutch.

    Distance from Bhuj to Rann Utsav - The Tent City, Dhordo is approx. 85 km, which takes about 1 hr 45 minutes.**Rates are exclusive of applicable taxes.

    **Tax rate would be GST (9% CGST and 9% SGST).
    **Rates on single occupancy basis will be 75% of the basic cost (75% of double occupancy amount).
    **In case of triple occupancy, any person above 6 yrs. of age will be charged as extra person (with mattress).
    **Name change shall be treated as cancellation and cancellation policy shall be applied.

    CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

    • 100 % Refund if cancelled before 30 days prior to schedule arrival.
    • 70% refund, if cancelled more than 15 days prior to scheduled arrival (but less than 30 days).
    • No refund, if cancelled less than 15 days prior to scheduled arrival.
    • Change in guest/guests names would be treated as Cancellation.
    • In case of any date change Rs.1500/Person + 18% GST will be charged. (Rate difference shall be levied)
    • Name Change shall be treated as cancellation only.

Day 2 Tour to Mandi

Mandvi has beautiful white sand, serene locales and enchanting views. Distance from Rann Utsav - The Tent City is approx. 140 km away. 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM Visit Shyamji Krishna Varma Memorial Shyamji Krishna Varma was born on 04th October 1857 in the Mandvi Town of Kutch District of Gujarat. He was one of the foremost freedom fighters in the history of the freedom movement in India. The memorial’s objective is to pay tribute to Shyamji Krishna Varma and educate the young generation about the Indians who sacrificed everything for the country's freedom. 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM Visit Vijay Vilas Palace The great palace of Mandvi was built in 1929 by his highness Vijay Singhji, the Maharao of Kutch, as a summer resort. This palace has a domed terrace that gives a panoramic view of the sea. Day 3 Sunrise at White Rann

As a result of their desire to grow more in faith, Lord Swaminarayan initiated the task of this beautiful temple. Made in marble, intricate carvings adorn the pillars and ceilings of the most expensive temple built in the state of Gujarat. * Bhujodi (Hira Laxmi Craft Park) (Approx. time 40 min) Handicraft Village: Hiralaxmi Craft Park - A vision to preserve, restore and promote the art & craft of Kutch and make them accessible to the public. The Handicraft Village is where live artisans can be seen working. The cost of entry (if any) is to be paid by the guest. In case guests have to reach the railway station/ airport/ bus stand earlier for their onward journey, they will have to arrange it on their own. Timings of any such departure should be notified at the reception at the time of check-in. (Bhujodi will remain closed on Monday).
