Now that you’ve obtained the e-Transit Visa, here’s how to make the most of Istanbul Airport

Istanbul houses two major international airports, namely Sabiha Gökçen International Airport and Istanbul Airport. The latter is the larger airport promising a string of experiences that keep you engaged and enamoured over a layover, no matter how short or long the duration. For starters, grab a frothy mug of coffee and simit (Turkish sesame-covered bagels) from one of the many coffee shops present at the airport.

Allow the shopaholic within you to go all out at Istanbul Airport’s Duty-Free spread across 53,000 sq ft and a host of enticing brands to splurge on. After retail therapy, savour the Turkish and World Cuisine flavours at the plush Turkish Airlines Lounge. If you’re in for a longer layover, make sure to check out the Yotel: a futuristic check-in option for both domestic and transit passengers, offering smart beds, smart TVs, monsoon rain showers, ambient lighting, and much more. Those with a penchant for literature must also check out the IGA İstanbul Airport Art Gallery and Airport Library.
