Singapore Airlines Eyes a Possible A380 Return on the Hong Kong Route for Winter 2027.

Singapore Airlines is getting ready for a return of the Airbus A380 on its Hong Kong route. The first winter schedule for 2027 shows plans to fly the Airbus A380 between Singapore Changi Airport and Hong Kong International Airport from 1 December 2027 to 31 January 2028. The plan would use the Airbus A380 on flights SQ882 and SQ883 after Singapore Airlines cancelled Airbus A380 flights to Hong Kong. We do not know the reason but the change might be due, to new fleet plans, different operational needs or how many passengers Singapore Airlines expects. The schedule is still a draft so Singapore Airlines could switch to another plane before the Airbus A380 service starts.

Singapore Airlines has provisionally scheduled its Airbus A380 for flights SQ882 and SQ883 between Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). According to preliminary scheduling information published by AeroRoutes, the aircraft is expected to operate between 1 December 2027 and 31 January 2028. However, the deployment remains subject to change. Singapore Airlines has not established whether the A380 will continue operating on the route beyond January 2028.
