Azerbaijan Targets Major Winter Tourism Growth as China Explores New Holiday Packages
Azerbaijan is set to boost its winter tourism potential in China as the country looks to develop new holidays for Chinese visitors. Azerbaijan is capitalizing on the rising number of Chinese visitors by promoting its winter tourism offerings to major travel agencies in Beijing. The effort is centered on creating new holidays and highlighting mountain tourism, as well as boosting travel cooperation between Azerbaijan and China. Chinese visitor arrivals jumped 28% in September 2026. TourismIndustry ReportsThe presentation was jointly organised by the Beijing representative office of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), operating under the State Tourism Agency, and Shahdag Tourism Centre CJSC. More than 10 leading Beijing-based travel agencies participated in discussions covering Azerbaijan’s winter attractions, tourism infrastructure and opportunities for new travel itineraries.
