Two more Indian beaches given prestigious Blue Flag certification

For those who don’t know, Blue Flag is a globally recognised coveted international eco-label. This is a huge achievement for India, which shows the country’s commitment to protect and conserve the coastal and marine ecosystems.
The big news was shared by the Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav. He took to Twitter to express his happiness and congratulated everyone.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared the news on his Twitter account and congratulated the people of Lakshadweep.
He tweeted, “This is great! Congratulations, particularly to the people of Lakshadweep, for this feat. India’s coastline is remarkable and there is also a great amount of passion among our people to further coastal cleanliness.”
About the winner beaches
The Kadmat Beach in Lakshadweep is quite a rage among cruise tourists and water sports enthusiasts. It’s a heaven for nature lovers and keeps shining with its pearl white sand. The blue waters of this gorgeous beach will instantly take your breath away!
The Thundi Beach, on the other hand, is another very popular and pretty beach in the Lakshadweep, marked by turquoise-blue water and buttery sand! The beach is very famous among swimmers. The two beaches have proper staff who look after the cleanliness and maintenance.
The other Blue Flag beaches in India are Ghoghla in Diu, Shivrajpur in Gujarat, Kasarkod and Padubidri in Karnataka, Kappad in Kerala, Rushikonda in Andhra Pradesh, Golden in Odisha, Radhanagar in Andaman and Nicobar, Kovalam in Tamil Nadu and Eden in Puducherry.
