Ropeway To Take Tourists From Dharamshala To McLeodganj In Just 5 Minutes
Dharamshala to McLeodganj in just 5 minutes? Yes, you read that right! It is time to rejoice, travel junkies. Your upcoming trip to Himachal Pradesh just got more exciting as the aerial ropeway project connecting the two tourist hubs is now ready to transform your travel experience.The Dharamshala Skyway project will reduce the travel time between the two hotspots to just 5 minutes. A usual road journey, otherwise, takes around 45 minutes.
A glimpse of the project was shared on the official Instagram handle of Tata Group. In the post, they announced that the ropeway is ready to transform travel between Dharamshala and McLeodganj.
“A 45-minute ride in just 5 minutes! Our first aerial ropeway project the Dharamshala Skyway - developed in a private-public partnership by TRIL Urban Transport Private Ltd. - is ready to transform travel between #Dharamshala and McLeodganj,” they wrote in the caption.
The mono-cable detachable ropeway project has a capacity to carry 1,000 passengers per hour per direction.
The Dharamshala Skyway project was inaugurated by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur earlier this year in January. It was, however, suspended on January 25, six days after the inauguration.
