Kenya and Uganda Sign Four Tourism Deals, Paving the Way for Joint Regional Holidays.

Kenya and Uganda have signed four landmark tourism deals that will make it easier for tourists to travel between the two nations, develop packaged holidays and boost tourism businesses throughout East Africa. The tourism deals between Kenya and Uganda, which were signed at an summit in Mombasa, could also pave the way for new opportunities for tourists from Tanzania, Rwanda and other nearby countries. The partnerships will help boost tourism links between the two countries, where numbers are already increasing, to encourage longer stays and boost the economy within the region.

The agreements were signed during the fifth Uganda–Kenya Coast Tourism and Innovation Summit, held in Mombasa on 26 and 27 October 2026. Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Somalia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo could also benefit from wider regional tourism cooperation. The agreements arrive as visitor numbers between Kenya and Uganda continue to rise. Both countries now hope to attract more tourists, improve transport links and make cross-border travel easier for businesses and holidaymakers. Source: Travel and Tour World
