Vietnam and Poland Expand Visa-Free Travel and Direct Flights in a Major Tourism Push.

Vietnam and Poland are strengthening their tourism partnership as expanded visa-free travel arrangements, direct Warsaw–Hanoi flights and growing visitor numbers are expected to improve connectivity between the two countries. The cooperation has gained momentum following discussions between Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, during which tourism development, cultural preservation and easier travel were prioritised. With more than 61,000 Polish tourists visiting Vietnam during the first seven months of 2026, Poland has emerged as an important European source market. A new tourism cooperation agreement and plans for direct flights in 2027 are expected to create further opportunities for international travel.

During their meeting and subsequent press conference, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through tourism, cultural exchanges and improved international connectivity. Particular attention was given to the growing number of Polish travellers choosing Vietnam as a holiday destination. The possibility of simplifying entry requirements was also discussed as part of wider efforts to encourage tourism.
