US, France and UK Step Up Support for Trapped Expats in Saudi Arabia.
The US, France, and UK nations have come together to offer special authorization and round-the-clock assistance to the Saudi expatriates. The international diplomatic community is coming up with a coordinated approach towards helping the expatriates, foreign workers, and tourists stranded in various parts of Saudi Arabia due to airspace closure and disruption in the airport operations.The initiative has been taken by the US mission in conjunction with other European and Middle Eastern nations.Aerial disruptions stemming from regional security escalations have crippled primary aviation corridors across the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) extended the operational suspension of King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh through October 17.
