Vietjet To Launch New Delhi/Mumbai - Phu Quoc Services From Sept 9

The ceremony witnessed the presence of Phan Thi Thang, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Mumbai, and Vietjet’s leaders.
The countries’ two first direct services connecting Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi and New Delhi resumed operation in April 2022 with the frequency of three to four flights per week.
During the launch, Nguyen Thanh Son, Vice President, Vietjet, said: “Vietjet’s Vietnam-India flight network expansion will boost and strengthen travel connectivity and trade ties between the two countries. We have been the first carrier operating direct services between Vietnam’s capital city Hanoi and its largest city of Ho Chi Minh with India’s capital city New Delhi.”
“Vietjet’s flight network covering up to six direct routes between Vietnam and India also marks a milestone in the two countries’ 50 years of diplomatic relations, since 1972. We will progressively expand the flight connection between the two countries in the coming time while constantly enhancing service quality along with technology adoption to bring our passengers the best flying experience. Vietjet wants to be the biggest platform with the largest volume of international tourists from Vietnam to India”, Son added.
Before the pandemic, Vietjet operated two direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to New Delhi, in addition to charter flights from Vietnam to Bodh Gaya, the Indian Buddhist pilgrimage site. After a temporary halt during the pandemic, Vietjet resumed its old flight operations and launched new products & flights to encourage more connectivity between Vietnam and India.
Vietnam has lifted the arrival regulations relating to COVID-19 and travelers can enjoy a complete pre-pandemic fashion arriving in Vietnam.
Vietjet also officially launched more services linking top destinations of India and Vietnam including New Delhi/Mumbai - Phu Quoc services. The Mumbai - Phu Quoc route will operate four weekly flights every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, starting September 9, 2022. The services between New Delhi and Phu Quoc will also commence on September 9, 2022. On the side-lines of the event, the Vietjet spokesperson also said the carrier is planning more routes from India to Vietnam by launching services from cities such as Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, etc.

Vietjet has thus come up with flying opportunities with cost-saving and flexible fares as well as diversified services to meet customers’ demands in India.
Vietjet earlier announced five new international routes connecting New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Bangalore to Vietnam’s famous coastal city of Da Nang. The new services will operate within the third quarter of 2022 with four to seven return flights per week.
Vietnam has lifted the arrival regulations relating to Covid-19 and travelers can enjoy a complete pre-pandemic fashion arriving in Vietnam. The S-shaped country is more than ready to welcome international travelers to visit and explore its magnificent scenery.
